How to Download WordPress into WAMP

Step 1: Download and Install WAMP

Go to the official WAMP website and download the latest version that fits your computer's operating system. Run the installer and make sure to select the latest version of PHP and MySQL. After a successful installation, open the WAMP server and ensure it's running smoothly.

Step 2: Download WordPress

Download the latest version of WordPress from the official website. Extract the downloaded file and move the WordPress folder to the "www" folder located in the WAMP installation directory (usually "C:\wamp64\www\" on Windows).

Step 3: Create a Database in phpMyAdmin

Launch your browser and type "localhost/phpmyadmin" into the address bar. The phpMyAdmin interface will open, and you can create a new database for WordPress. Click on the "New" button located on the left-hand side of the interface, enter a name for your database, and click the "Create" button.

Step 4: Install WordPress

Type "localhost/wordpress" into your browser's address bar, and the WordPress installation process will start. Click the "submit" button, and the installation will begin.

Step 5: Log in to Your WordPress Dashboard

After the installation process is complete, WordPress will prompt you to log in to the dashboard. Type "localhost/wordpress/wp-admin" in your browser's address bar, and you will be directed to the login page. Enter the username and password you created earlier, and you'll be ready to explore WordPress.
